"Ben is a natural social entrepreneur. He successfully blends his passion for supporting young people with a recognition that sustainability is only possible if his venture is profitable. Anchorage Trust has identified a gap in provision and fills that gap in a way that inspires both beneficiaries & funders. This is one to watch!'
Founder - Inspired Youth Projects Ltd
Ben is a true inspiration, his honest straightforward approach and passion for his cause is rare, making him infectious and effective at making a difference. He is a Social Entrepreneur in every sense. I continue to informally mentor Ben which had been a real privilege.

Upon meeting Ben of East Anglia Anchorage Trust, and Natalie & Rob of Inspired Youth, we were very impressed by their commitment and vision for young people in our community. As the largest private sector employer in our area, we believe our company can be a force for good in society and as such, are committed to support their combined project of Brighter Futures going forward.

Ben is a perfect example of a Changemaker…he desired to make a difference, gained the skills and knowledge to do so, and made it happen! He is passionate and driven to support homeless young people and is already transforming so many lives. Ben has a huge heart and not only helps those who are disadvantaged but also helps other organisations to achieve their social missions. Those around Ben speak fondly of him and it is inspiring to see him smashing his goals
The Anchorage Trust is a new organisation which has set up in the Yarmouth area to provide support to homeless young people. We've been really impressed with their fresh approach to a social issue, and the way they have galvanized the local community behind their work.
We have been working in the field of supporting young people into work through a number of our projects, and it is with great excitement that I am looking forward to supporting the Anchorage Trust on their projects and services to support young people.
They are very grounded in their approach to this societal challenge, but also very ambitious in their plans to contribute to the development of young people. They have a switched on approach to their marketing, and a clear growth strategy for their business.
This for me creates the opportunity for the Trust to become one of the fastest growing and leading social enterprises in the Yarmouth area.
Based in Norfolk, Norse Commercial Services provides a range of facilities management services to the public and private sectors, specialising in strategic partnerships with local authorities. As one of the largest employers in the region – over 3,000 in Norfolk and 9,000 nationally – Norse takes its corporate responsibility seriously, and along with its sister companies in the Norse Group follows ‘The Norse Way’ – a plan for enriching the communities in which it operates. The Brighter Futures programme encapsulates this precisely, which is why Norse has chosen to support the initiative. We believe the programme will allow disadvantaged young people the opportunity to prepare themselves for work and ultimately gain employment, which provides both social and economic benefits to the local area, and gives Norse the opportunity to bring bright, enthusiastic young people into our business.
