We are a community housing and support organisation

We are a charity who help young people by providing accommodation and supporting them into employment. We provide tenancies for 18-30-year olds who regularly face difficult life circumstances.

We work with young people who actively want to make a difference in their own lives. This, along with the support, commitment, and direction from Anchorage Trust, provides our young people with the best foundation in which they can rebuild their lives.

Many young people that come to us are overcoming poor education attainment; family breakdown; violence; homelessness; or poor quality, unsafe, or unaffordable accommodation. EAAT was founded and developed as a direct response to support these needs, and to enable positive change in young people.

2018 sees EAAT having moved premises, consequently gaining valuable office space which includes meeting rooms, a soft seated break out area, and training rooms with a suite of computers. With our premises now better equipped to support our young people, they can build enhanced CVs and complete online training, improving their search for employment opportunities. Our meeting rooms will have multi-purpose uses including the holding of 1-2-1s and assessments. We are clear in our approach and provide unclouded incentives that allow individuals to broaden their skill set, and to gain training and sustainable employment for the future, minimising the need for reliance on state benefits.

We are youth-led in our mission. This, coupled with our vision, define our work and demonstrate our unique approach to meeting the local need and wishes of young people. EAAT is an inclusive organisation with its heart very much in the local community. The Trust prides itself on building strong partnerships with communities, agencies, and businesses. We believe strongly in working with the highest integrity to best support young people, maximising employability and social inclusion, whilst encouraging confidence growth and addressing issues associated with low self-esteem.
